    Esperanza Health Centers is looking for a Strategy and Planning Associate who will further strategic planning and growth initiatives in collaboration with the Vice President of Strategy and Business Development and key stakeholders across the organization. The primary functions of this position are research and analysis, project management, and communication and collaboration across teams. This position will proactively integrate diversity, equity, and inclusion principles into all planning activities. The Strategy and Planning Associate will report to the Vice President of Strategy and Business Development

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

    Research and Analysis:

    1. Research emerging policies, issues, and opportunities of strategic importance to the organization
    2. Analyze and synthesize quantitative and qualitative data to support planning
    3. Draft briefing memos outlining insights derived from research to support strategic decision-making

    Project Management:

    1. Outline project schedules including critical junctures and decision points
    2. Implement project management practices to facilitate planning for new sites, services, business initiatives, and strategic planning
    3. Outline project tasks, costs, and timelines to ensure adherence to budgets and schedules
    4. Identify and engage key stakeholders throughout the duration of project
    5. Ensure effective project close outs, including archiving all project documents, transitioning responsibilities to pertinent team members, and documenting lessons learned
    6. Research and recommend enterprise project management tools and best practices

    Communication and Collaboration:

    1. Identify and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with diversity, equity, and inclusion principles and project success
    2. Consider and navigate organizational culture factors pertinent to project success
    3. Identify and address critical communication junctures, key audiences, and necessary information types and formats
    4. Anticipate unintended consequences of communication practices
    5. Use technology to support open communication, transparency, and inclusion

    Schedule: Hybrid role, allowing 2 to 3 work from home days and remainder on-site. Scheduling may change dependent on team needs.

    2. Ability to facilitate meetings that engage constituents with diverse priorities and perspectives
    3. Skilled with technology, project management software and communication tools
    4. Strong analytical and data synthesis skills
    5. Self-started and ability to problem solve
