  • SUMMARY:
    Under administrative direction of the Director, Sales and Marketing, the Market Manager manages the direct and indirect marketing functions, including but not limited to: evaluation of the financial aspects of product development, such as budgets, expenditures, ROI and P&L projections; interaction with TBJ sales and marketing with regards to new product development and existing product improvements. Regulatory involvement with regards to review of technical documentation, labeling and submission summaries.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Coordinates pre-market and pre-launch activities between Tosoh Bioscience Japan (TBJ) and TBI personnel.
    Ensures compliance with 21 CFR 820 and ISO 13485 during product management functions
    Manages the analysis and approves information with regards to product improvements and new product specifications to TBJ R&D and marketing groups through the Sr. Manager Product Planning and Development.
    Review sales tools/marketing collateral including target pieces to support sales initiatives and ensure compliance with labeling. Coordinate with marketing communications manager on TBI website. Provide design input as required.
    Conduct field market research to gain competitive/new analyte information for both Domestic and LA markets. Develop counter strategies to combat competitor situations in the market.
    Manage and coordinate activities of supervised marketing staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
    Coordinates and participates in promotional activities and trade shows to market Tosoh products and services.
    Participate in standardization projects and coordinate with TBJ and outside sources as necessary
    Directly manages support of the AIA and HPLC lines of products as necessary to achieve on-going sales goals and maintain compliance.
    Develop marketing budget for promotional activities, market research and other associated marketing projects
    Review technical documents (pre-submission) to determine that claims and performance meet competitive and marketing needs, review protocols for data collection to support FDA submissions to enable IRB applications.
    Other assigned duties to meet the business goals of Tosoh Bioscience, Inc.
    In collaboration and cooperation with sales management, identify and evaluate marketing strategies, based on the knowledge of organization objectives, market characteristics, cost and gross margin objectives.
    Develops pricing strategies and forecast anticipated market sales in cooperation with sales management.
    Travels with field personnel to support sales and service efforts with either problem accounts or new business development opportunities.
    Work with and support TBLA Sales and Sales Management to support the Latin American market, i.e. training, technical product support, market research on new product launch, pricing etc.
    Participate in sales presentations to IDN's and distributors. Participate in critical account situations to support new or existing sales.
    Participate in Sales and Sales management business meetings and coordinate with sales management on promotions and strategies to meet sales goals.
    Work closely with sales management and supply chain on inventory management for new products based on specific promotional activities.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Manages Product Managers and Multi-media Manager
    Manage temporary staff enlisted to support marketing activities
    Manage field marketing activities

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    B.S in science, medical technology or chemistry, or equivalent experience.
    At least six years of marketing experience; targeted sales/marketing experience a plus
    Knowledge of immunoassay testing is a plus.
    Experience in regulatory and ISO requirements is highly desirable.

    WORKING CONDITIONS:
    This position requires visits to customer sites which are medical facilities. These facilities may have certain requirements which TBI representatives must meet to gain access, including the requirement for drug, background, and health screening. Employment is contingent on your compliance with the requirements established by each facility, as evidenced by the results of the required screenings.

    Must agree to provide required immunization records and/or agree to acquire required immunizations in order to gain access to customer sites as required by customers. You may be required to register at vendor credentialing companies.
