    The Travel & Lifestyle Services (TLS) business provides exclusive access to best-in-class travel and lifestyle programs and benefits, extraordinary service, and unrivaled expertise to Card Members seeking leisure or business travel. TLS set the standard for luxury hotel programs through our Fine Hotels and Resorts (FHR) and The Hotel Collection (THC) programs. We have been innovating and evolving our programs, benefits and offerings ever since to drive value for our customers and deepen their relationship with the American Express brand. In partnership with 1000 best-in-class travel suppliers, TLS delivers unparalleled travel benefits to premium card members.

    With a deep understanding of our customers' needs and a pulse on evolving travel trends and innovation, the Global Strategic Partnerships and Marketing (GPM) organization is shaping the future of travel and transforming the value proposition of TLS travel benefits to maintain our strength in the leisure travel industry. GPM leads negotiations with travel supplier partners to provide premium Card Members access to a trusted network of carefully curated properties, brands and exclusive benefits. We reciprocate for our supplier partners through a disciplined, data-driven marketing strategy designed to increase customer engagement and revenue growth for strategic partners and for TLS.

    The Director, Global Partner Engagement will lead a team responsible for elevating American Express Travel's brand within the travel industry, leveraging our key points of distinction to enable impactful industry moments, communicate our value story, and deliver differentiated value for our preferred suppliers. This Director will lead a global team of eight, with three direct reports.

    How will you make an impact in this role?

    • Lead the strategy, development, and execution of American Express Travel's B2B approach, positioning TLS as an unparalleled industry leader, thought innovator, and distribution channel.

    • Design and enable supplier-specific learning and experiences for Travel Consultants that bring to life the exclusive Card Member value TLS offers through its programs and benefits.

    • Build communication strategy to engage travel partners, sharing AXP value and efforts on an ongoing basis.

    • Create strategy to deliver large-scale events and activations that highlight our unique and compelling value story and fuel our industry-best relationships with the top global luxury suppliers in the world.

    • Collaborate with a robust set of internal and external partners across Global Partnerships & Marketing, Global Business Travel (GBT), Corporate Affairs & Communications, Servicing, Legal, Compliance, and Finance to develop, execute, and continuously innovate American Express Travel Partner Engagement.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Strong strategic thinker with a growth mindset who can pull in multiple viewpoints to ensure we serve our Card Members, partners, and business optimally

    • Creative problem solver who is comfortable with challenging the status quo and solving unstructured problems

    • Proven ability to flex between the broad strategic picture and highly tactical day-to-day operations

    • Exceptional communicator and skilled collaborator, including ability to influence senior leaders and present clear and logical solutions to complex business problems

    • Inspiring and proven people leader who can lead a global, layered team to success

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience creating and executing a B2B marketing strategy that leverages partnerships, sponsorships, events, and varied communication channels

    • Travel experience including knowledge of competitive landscape and external industry players

    Qualifications

    Salary Range: $130,000.00 to $205,000.00 annually bonus equity (if applicable) benefits
