    Let's do this. Let's change the world. The Amgen Commercial Data Science team is looking for an accomplished analytical leader with the ability to influence executive-level audiences and deliver robust data and statistical analysis of our marketing investment performance.

    Flexible Commuter role to Thousand Oaks, US Headquarter site. You will work on-site a minimum of 2 days a week.

    • Analyze marketing performance data, using Python, R, or similar languages with numerical and scientific libraries for statistical analysis (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, scikit, etc.)

    • Design and analyze marketing experiments applying causal inference and hypothesis testing techniques to find opportunities for scaling or optimizing our investment allocation

    • Lead all aspects of the execution of Marketing Mix and Marketing Attribution Models to measure ROI of core marketing activities

    • Execute scenario planning and project outcomes of investment decisions across the portfolio

    • Prepare and effectively communicate business recommendations to executives and business partners

    • Collaborate with several cross-functional partners (e.g., Marketing, Media, Finance, etc.) to help build marketing budgets that improves brand strategical objectives

    Basic Qualifications:

    Doctorate degree and 2 years of Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related experience

    OR

    Master's degree and 4 years of Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related experience

    OR

    Bachelor's degree and 6 years of Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related experience

    OR

    Associate's degree and 10 years of Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related experience

    OR

    High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related experience

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Strong background in leveraging query languages (SQL) to clean, transform, and prepare data using cloud computing platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, etc.)

    • Good understanding of statistical analysis concepts such as Causal Inference, Bayesian statistics, Regression Analysis, Hypothesis Testing etc.

    • Strong planning skills for simultaneously managing multiple large and complex projects.

    • Track record of interpreting and communicating analytical insights to non-technical audience using clear and concise language.

    • Advanced expertise using statistical analysis libraries in languages like Python, and R.

    • Expertise in pharmaceutical data sets, such as prescriber-plan data, patient-level data, transactional claims, etc.
