WebMD is seeking a senior level strategic sales executive who is a motivated and committed individual to manage, expand and grow our business with select pharmaceutical and biotech clients in the West Coast region. This is a VP-level opportunity. The West Coast VP is exposed to all facets of business, strategy, and best practice implementation of our online promotion solutions targeted to reach patients, caregivers and healthcare professionals. . This VP of Sales will be part of a senior sales management team and will play a significant role and providing leadership, strategy and coordination for the sales force as a whole, as well as play an important strategic and operational role in relevant sales related interface with other WebMD executives, departments and units.
Ideal Background: ~ Innovative in strategic, consultative, and conceptual selling. ~ Established sale relationships within the Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, or Biotech industries. ~ In-depth knowledge of online marketing specializing in consumer /professional branding. ~ Lead dynamic presentations with senior management of prospect organizations. ~ Proven ability to develop and grow customer relationships. ~ The ability to work effectively with a wide variety of professional staff from varied disciplines and backgrounds. ~ Excellent presentation & interpersonal skills; both written and verbal. ~ Must be able to work well in high pressure sales environment.
Broad understanding of digital sales, business development and/or strategy within the marketing industry.
5 years of experience managing and cultivating a sales team.
10 years of demonstrated success in sales or business development.
proven histroy of building successful relationships with brand managers in pharmaceutical companies.
senior sales management experience with demonstrated and measurable track record of success in solutions sales and media sales to the pharma/biotech brands and heads of commercial operations.
superior organizational and planning skills; executive presence able to inspire respect from all levels both internally and externally.
Exceptional presentation and consultative sales skills; someone wit a long track record of building durable relationships with Senior level executives at both client and AOR.
