Overview:
As a Warehouse Specialist you are responsible for controlling outbound merchandise shipments which help to maintain the currency of inventory. You will manage returns to vendors, publish weekly RTV summaries to merchants for forecasting purposes, run queries to determine merchandise candidates for penny salvage (liquidation) and ensure that merchandise has been sufficiently marked down (valued) on the site before processing. You will also key basic adjustments for interdivisional transfers and serve as support and a liaison to distribution center personnel and merchants.
Key Accountabilities:
Maintain return to vendor process. Ensure that correct units are moved to non-selling locations. Review requests to ensure they are sent to the proper warehouses with accurate quantities, ship to information and return authorization #'s. Create return documents. Confirm that the warehouse pulls the merchandise and returns to the vendor on a timely basis. Update the Vendor Return tracking log.
Pull penny salvage queries. Confirm with merchants. Work closely with the DC's to ensure shipments are forwarded to the Central Return Center on a timely basis.
Key basic adjustments for interdivisional transfers to ensure accuracy of on hand quantities.
Run queries for various non -sellable locations to ensure that units are addressed.
Review and resolve error reports to prevent problems. Provide feedback for developing new reporting to improve the workflow.
Assist in the training of the merchant organization to facilitate timely and accurate shipment of outbound merchandise.
Review non-sellable merchandise in problem ship to ensure that it is returned to vendors on a timely basis or confirm that chargebacks occur.
Skills Summary:
Bachelor's degree or work related experience.
Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including Lotus Notes.
