Job Description: GENERAL SUMMARY The Vice President, Marketing - The Americas directs the creation, implementation, and management of Americas marketing programs in support of member hotels within the assigned regions. Responsible for origin programs generating sales to PHG destination markets. Supports the Area and Regional Directors in all marketing programs and provides leadership to the regional team(s) supporting the region's hotels. Manages plans, budgets, and implementation. Provides analysis and reporting. ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPUnder the general supervision of the Chief Marketing Officer and the Executive Managing Director, Corporate Operations, the Vice President manages marketing positions in the Americas. This position works closely with the Vice President, Marketing (Brand); Vice President, International Marketing; Vice President, Communications; and Director, Guest Benefit Program. The position supports the Americas Area and Regional Directors. Interacts frequently with other departments; and will manage relevant third party IES & RESPONSIBILITIES A. Responsible for increasing bookings to hotels in The Americas from PHG Marketing programs and growing program revenues and participation from Hotels. B. Responsible for the development and implementation of Cooperative Advertising and Marketing programs provided to the Hotels in the Americas. C. Responsible for Americas Marketing Plan and corresponding budget, P&L, reporting and analysis. D. Responsible for creation and execution of Regional integrated campaigns and promotions. E. Responsible for America's growth of I Prefer Guest Benefit Program. F. Responsible for strategy and growth of Americas marketing partnership relationships including Frequent Flyer Programs, Credit Card Programs, and others as developed. Strong written and oral/presentation abilities.8. Understanding of cultural difference and customized marketing.9. Expectation of travel 40%.10. Knowledge of computer systems and programs.
