VP Director of Sales- Radio
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: - Responsible for day-to-day sales operations and achieving revenue goals. - Assist/support Account Executives on sales calls. - Teach and instruct sales staff on radio sales techniques. - Train and coach sales management team. - Be accessible at all times for consultation with sales staff. - Develop market positioning statement as ratings change. - Develop sales packages and tools inclusive of sales promotions. - Coordinate and update sales pieces. - Educate sales department in market/national trends and provide them with new selling ideas and techniques. - Be a prime source of motivation. - Maintain positive relationships with key clients. - Solve client problems as they relate to the market. - Manage commercial inventory in coordination with GSMs/Traffic Managers. - Coordinate market promotions as they relate to sales. - Liaison between sales department and other departments. - Keep Market Manager informed of sales activities. - Interview and hire capable sales staff as required. - Price inventory as appropriate and assign accounts with General Sales Manager input. - Assist in assignment of accounts to Account Executives; shift accounts when appropriate. - Participate in the annual revenue/budget process. - Provide accurate revenue forecasts and deliver year over year growth of key and target accounts. - Write weekly report detailing market sales activities. - Other duties as required.
