Vice President, Public Relations, Technology PR
A Vice President at Affect is a senior member of our management team. As a growing boutique firm, the Vice President role is a pivotal position as it is part of the leadership team that manages, mentors and motivates our entire team and provides the vision, planning and execution for short and long-term growth of the company, strategic direction for the firm and product and service development.
In this role, the Vice President will have explicit responsibilities in overseeing account teams, new business development and marketing efforts for the firm. The Vice President will serve as a mentor, manager and lead example for all account teams to which he/she is assigned, taking on a senior leadership role in client management, quality assurance, staff development and strategic guidance.
This role requires exceptional leadership capabilities, a strong work ethic and a passion for public relations, social media and marketing. In addition, the Vice President must possess experience managing budgets, vendors and financial operations for a division or firm.
General Requirements:
10+ years marketing and public relations management experience
Bachelor’s degree (required) or Master’s degree (preferred) in public relations, marketing, communications, journalism or related field
Experience in leading technology, healthcare and/or professional services account teams
Broad base of experience in core competencies of public relations including media relations, analyst relations, thought leadership, strategic counsel etc.
Demonstrates a strong understanding of social media concepts and platforms (required) and has engaged in social media or led projects in social media on behalf of clients (preferred).
