JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Sales Associate will be primarily responsible for preparing for all aspects of Sales Representative accountabilities, representing Stryker as a leader in our industry and the marketplace by promoting our products to a sophisticated audience comprised of surgeons and healthcare professionals.

This will be achieved by increasing sales through assisting the sales teams and building own accounts by means of working with existing customers as well as identify new customers in order to grow their territory. The candidate will be responsible for communicating with current and new customer accounts regarding a variety of topics including product updates, changes to product portfolio and educational programs.

This Associate will learn or hone selling skills and processes by coaching/mentoring support from Sales Representatives and Managers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work with sales teams, callback customers as necessary to identify sales opportunities and customer service activities
  • Identifies the needs of new prospects and, with the Sales Representative, develops appropriate responses
  • Assists in developing responses to Requests for Quotes and in creating proposal presentations
  • Performs field calls for the account and assigned territory
  • Assign and schedule appointments for Sales Representatives
  • Cross-sell additional products as they become available
  • Implements new sales plans and effective marketing strategies to position the organization competitively
  • Assists the Sales Representative in meeting and exceeding business targets (quotas)
  • Serves as the primary backup contact for Sales Representatives
  • Acquires a basic understanding of the field to include regulatory compliance issues
  • Consistently supports compliance and the principles of responsibility (AdvaMed) by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non compliance, and adhering to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, accreditation and licenser requirements, and Company's policies and procedures
  • Assist in the resolution of any problems that arise on the account
  • Maintain training in sales skills and products
  • Remains current on industry, customer, and competitive trends
  • Participates and attends sales meetings and professional association meetings outside of regular business hours, as required
  • Completes the Sales Associate training program consisting of Employee Orientation, Center Training, Product Knowledge and Field Territory Training

    Qualifications/Work Experience

    QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Experience in building and maintaining relationships (with surgeons & hospitals in respective areas would be beneficial).
  • Must be comfortable in emergency/operating room environments

    Education and/or Special Training

    EDUCATION:
  • BS/BA in relevant field preferred or equivalent experience
