JOB SUMMARY:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The purpose of the Field Sales role is to demonstrate the value of G&K's products through weekly sales of facility services to small businesses. The role is intensely focused on offering a limited portfolio of our most popular non-uniform items.
- Work with Sales Managers to establish selling strategies and tactics that result in new account business generation
- Schedule and complete weekly prospecting activities to include cold calling and tele-prospecting
- Achieve annual sales targets and average weekly revenue quotas on a consistent basis
- Update sales business plans on a monthly basis to optimize your sales results
- Analyze prospective customers' needs and meet those needs via proposals, negotiations and business contracts
- Show continual professional development in industry, sales abilities and time management
The Field Sales role will maintain consistent communication with other G & K sales and service professionals to process and execute sales leads.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Cold call prospects along established Service Routes to present and close sales
- Provide sample product to appropriate prospects (min once a week) to spark interest in G&K
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- College degree preferred
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of one year of previous work experience required
- Three years in service industries preferred
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
- Action-oriented and motivated to meet aggressive sales goals. Illustrate achievement-oriented behaviors, such as striving to exceed goals
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, analytical and reasoning skills. Excellent verbal and written communications skills; excellent listening skills, and ability to communicate persuasively with individuals and groups. - Present and demonstrate the features and benefits of products and service
- Listen to and overcome resistance and objections; customer focused
- Safe driving record
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE, LICENSES ETC:
- Geographic understanding of the local market
- Familiarity with convenience store, gas station and retail strip center business model
