Seeking a Web-Savvy Technical Editor Would you like to join a dynamic team within a fortune 500 company, which is focused on delivering critical content to its sellers? Our client is seeking a bright, articulate, web-savvy technical editor to join our Seattle editorial team in the Technical Account Management department. The role requires professional and efficient handling of large volumes of editorial work in cooperation with local/global editors and with many internal teams, such as application and systems development, technical and non-technical support, public relations, legal, and operations. You will draft, edit, and maintain Web content, Help pages, support associate information, and announcements for its Merchant and Marketplace platforms. The successful candidate will be self-directed, yet equally comfortable contributing within a global team environment. Strong interpersonal skills, time management, and accuracy are required. You must have a demonstrated affinity for technology and a background in technical writing, editing, and information design. A passion for communicating effectively and a healthy sense of humor are essential to the role. Basic Qualifications - • Experience using English verbal and written communication skills in a business setting • 5+ years in technical or business writing/editing for the Web • Experience in documenting tax and legal information beneficial • Leadership/project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional discussions and to effectively scope and deliver projects under tight deadlines • Experience with HTML, XHTML • Ability to understand complex applications and system concepts • Ability to juggle multiple projects, consistently delivering results despite competing priorities and distractions • Bachelor s degree in English, technical writing, communications or related field Preferred Qualifications - • Experience with Seller Services or Seller Support • Knowledge of EU Languages such as German, French, Italian or Spanish will be looked on favorably • Knowledge of e-Commerce • Experience applying information architecture concepts • Master's degree preferred
