Responsible for team leadership, projects and resources of an administrative area that includes more than one area of specialization or performs a centralized function. Typically a mid-management level at a medium to smaller size division or may be over a single function that requires significant staffing and coordination at a large division.
Functional areas within administration include:
Finance: general and specialized accounting (e.g. cost or tax accounting); audit; financial analysis and budgeting; payroll; and related areas.
Human Resources: staffing; employee relations; affirmative action; compensation and benefits; training and development; and related areas.
Information Systems: computer operations; application development and support; systems analysis; technical and computer equipment support; telecommunications; database administration; network analysis; and related areas.
Marketing/Contracts: contract administration; cost estimating; market research; product marketing; and related areas.
Communications: audio-visual; graphics; public and media relations.
LEVEL CHARACTERISTICS
I. Complexity Develops plans and schedules for team(s) to ensure achievement of goals over an extended time period. Coordinates activities and provides leadership to team members assigned to performing a portion of a major project or to multiple business/customer areas. Ensures integration with related teams or interdependent functions. BS degree in Business Administration or a similar discipline, and professional level experience of six or more years. Demonstrated ability to perform the described role and responsibilities and obtain the desired results.
Proven competency in a team leader role for two or more years, and/or demonstrated leadership of major projects or programs in a team environment.
Demonstrated teamwork and team building skills in producing results and meeting organizational objectives. Capable of assessing and developing individual and team skills and capabilities. Able to create and maintain enthusiasm for new and challenging goals. Serves as a role model by promoting new ideas and positive change.
Effective interpersonal communications skills; attentive to customer and team member needs.

Position Summary:
Provides leadership of aftermarket Technical Publications Department and staff. Work with OEM, Customer Support program management and technical engineering to establish and status technical publications projects and priority. Responsible for team leadership, projects and resources of an administrative area that includes more than one area of specialization or performs a centralized function. Typically a mid-management level at a medium to smaller size division or may be over a single function that requires significant staffing and coordination at a large division.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide leadership to Technical Publications team. Responsible for managing and mentoring staff.
2. Work with Program Management and Engineering to establish and status technical publication projects and priority.
3. Prepare and monitor schedules and financial status to meet contractual and project requirements.
4. Ensure high quality, on-time delivery of technical publication documents to customers.
5. Manage the cost effective execution of technical publication subcontracts.
6. Travel may be required to customer and/or other Parker sites (10%).
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering and/or related discipline.
2. 8+ years of increasingly responsible project/program management experience and 2+ years proven competency in leadership of major projects or programs in a team environment. Previous staff management experience desired.
