A secretive startup company in the fashionable Venice/Santa Monica area is looking for a technical program manager who wants to help build products which combine traditional books and nontraditional interactive games. Proximity to LA is desired, but we they relocate the right candidate. We're looking for braininess and experience, but if push comes to shove, we'll take brains over experience! Your salary and stock options are in proportion to your skill. This person will report to the particular, we'd like for you to have most of the following skills:* Experience managing cross-team projects (3-5 teams, including internal and external teams)* Experience working with agile development teams and running scrums.* Experience using software tools such as JIRA, Excel, MS Project, etc, to manage dependencies* Proven track record of escalating issues to executive attention in a timely manner.* Experience negotiating with development and content-related teams to negotiate cross-tea issues and roadblocks to successful resolution.* Experience in compiled and scripted programming languages, databases, mobile apps, and web apps. * You must be technically capable of working as a peer of technical directors, and your software skills legitimize this.* Experience translating wireframes to tech specs / functional specs* Experience working with overseas contractors or developers. You will have an opportunity to travel internationally for this job, as we have overseas development.* Spanish, Hindi, or Chinese language skills a plus, but not required. You will be a creative, contributing member of our startup, and genuinely welcome your ideas.
