Summary
Manage a larger Client relationship through the ability to understand Client marketing and business objectives and develop high-level strategic plans. Drive creative marketing solutions across Client deliverables by utilizing cross functional teams to their full advantage. Is a thought leader and influencer of senior clients. Monitor Digitas efforts to ensure adherence to strategic plans and objectives. Ensures deliverables meet strategic requirements of the Client, add value to the client, and meet Digitas quality standards.
Detailed Description
Client Development and Execution
? Strategic thought leader and relationship builder with principal and extended client leaders
? Leads and manages multiple workstreams of client business, serving as the primary and high level contact to articulate the Digitas view on strategy and business philosophies
? Sells in new project ideas to client that aligns with their business, customer and brand goals
? Manages clients expectations, pushing back when necessary
? Proactively solicits feedback from the client on team and relationship with Digitas
? Lead presentation in both informal and formal settings
? Supports new business initiatives within your own client and other Digitas potential clients
? Connects to broader agency intellectual capital and brings best practices to client assignments
? Facilitates and owns all legal contracts for your client
? Reviews scopes of work and project plans and guides their development
? Owns and communicates to the extended internal team, the overall client vision and the vision for all marketing programs for your client?s business
? Owns financials for the client ? steering forecasts, budgets, and investments- resolving any issues with the client, senior leadership or finance when necessary
? Apprise office leadership of any issues with client i.e. missed deadlines, client strategy issues, etc.
? Aligns business appropriately with the right staff ? ensure the capability mix is correct and that the marketing team is leveled appropriately to deliver i.e. all clients have someone to engage with as needs on a project arise
? Ensures team delivers high quality work on strategy, and on time
? Works with staffing to identify resources when gaps exist
? Shares knowledge with other client teams when their objectives are similar
Interactive Marketing
? Leverages marketing expertise across media, with a specific experience with developing interactive strategy.
? Develops cutting edge integrated interactive marketing programs that include online advertising, online marketing programs, and site build initiatives,
Strategy
? Understands fully the client?s business including:

? Develops overall strategy for client?s business
? Develops and delivers strategic client presentations or recommendations or leads strategic discussions
? Ensures Digitas remains on the cutting edge of marketing strategy and execution by being aware of Digitas competition and highlighting gaps in Digitas competencies to Senior Leadership ? work with Senior Leadership to close gaps
? Provides solutions and ideas for client?s unique challenges ? when necessary seeks out information from other Digitas teams, Senior Leadership, etc.
? Identifies key customer insights that drive creative and marketing deliverables
? Helps architect the customer experience
People Management
? Develops people within the team and across capabilities by coaching, identifying areas for growth, celebrating successes, managing promotion process, keeping an open dialogue with your team, identifying training opportunities
? Manages VPDs and ADs on the team by providing guidance, establishing goals and providing an appropriate level of feedback on a regular basis
? Actively manages the work ? willing to roll up his/her sleeves and dive in if necessary, on top of the details without micro-managing
? Respected by staff through strategic leadership, intimate knowledge of client?s business, expertise in interactive marketing and customer insight development
? Takes responsibility for own career by meeting with SVP/EVP regularly to review progress against goals
? Establishes and grows relationships across capabilities
Other Functions That May Be Required
? Serve as a member of the Senior Leadership Team of the Boston Office as well as a member of the Senior Leadership Team of the Digitas Inc Global Network
? Play a pivotal role in the aggressive growth trajectory of the firm
? Work closely with the Boston Office President, General Manager and Executive Leadership Team on overarching talent portfolio development strategy
? Travel
? Participation in internal initiatives ? i.e. Offering Development, Training Module Development, New Business Pitches, etc
Requirements:
Qualifications
? Explicit and demonstrated passion about breakthrough customer insights and their translation to breakthrough creative and programmatic execution?a true creative marketer
? Refined understanding of the integration of marketing, creative, account planning, media, technology and supporting customer analytics to deliver high impact results
? Strong communication and presentation skills and some prior experience presenting to C-level clients and their direct reports
? Extensive marketing knowledge across media (must have MOBILE and SOCIAL Marketing Experience)
? Comfort with a complex, entrepreneurial, creative culture that values compelling influence over positional authority.
? An enthusiastic, energetic advocate for the best people, the best ideas and the best cross-functional process to drive client results

? 12 or more years of marketing experience
? 9 plus years of Agency experience in a client leadership role
