Overall Purpose: Responsible for supporting the preparation of ATT state and local property taxes.
Key Roles and Responsibilities: Responsible for meeting all required state and local property tax filing deadlines. Responsibilities include preparation of complex unitary state and local property tax returns and reports, verification, reconciliation, and resolution of property tax assessment notices, verification of tax billings, and processing of tax payments. Conducts and documents simple to moderately complex tax audits. Provide general ledger system expertise regarding functional issues of financial and management reporting.
Job Contribution: Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
Requirements: Experience utilizing the PowerPlant Property Tax System (PTS) is required, as is specific experience and expertise preparing tax returns for state assessment of regulated telecommunications property
Education: Accounting Degree required. Experience: Typically requires 2-3 years of tax experience. Supervisory: No.
Professional Designations: CPA designation perferred.
