A dynamic, creative and professional communicator, who thrives in a fast-paced, highly accountable but autonomous environment, is needed for the position of Senior Public Relations Manager/Innovation Strategy. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Create engaging content for emerging technologies
· Story mining, reporting and development; building stories that reinforce and expand defined innovation strategy message sets
· Research, write and edit engaging content that get results, including features, executive point-of-view blog posts and communication materials for media teams
· Writing content for social media channels
Innovation strategy communications support
· Work with media teams to generate internal and external coverage, including development of pitch and collateral materials
· Multimedia design, execution and communication asset creation; coordination with video and graphic producers
· Develop and execute strategic, holistic communications plans that achieve success metrics supporting the Innovation programs
Qualifications: A qualified candidate will have strong written and oral communications skills, embrace technology and innovation, and show demonstrated experience and skills in the following areas:
· 1 to 5 years of communications experience with a preferred emphasis on media relations, news-editorial, online media, and public relations
· A minimum of a bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, journalism, English, political science or related field
- Strong working knowledge of the internet and social media
- Display understanding of video production processes
· Efficient in MS Office, including Excel, Word & PowerPoint
· Excellent time-management skills; ability to prioritize critical work tasks on deadline without sacrificing quality
· Approach projects and problem-solving creatively and independently
· A combination of agency and corporate experience is ideal, though not essential
· Some travel required
