The Added Value Services (AVS) division is one of ADP's fastest growing. Along with housing the payroll tax operations and compliance engine for all of ADP, AVS is the entrepreneurial test-ground for ADP, featuring those "beyond payroll" services that offer clients unique opportunities to stay in compliance and improve process efficiencies, while reducing taxes and other expenses.

BASIC FUNCTION: 

This is a senior-level marketing position within the ADP AVS organization, which includes Payment Solutions, Garnishment Services, Procure-to-Pay Solutions, Payroll Tax Filing, Unemployment Management and Tax Credit Services, as well as Sales, Use and Value-Added Tax Solutions. You must create holistic campaigns across the ADP AVS product lines, and will play a key role in championing our brand while demonstrating our unique value proposition to customers, worldwide, who rely on us to help solve a variety of increasingly significant employer challenges. As Senior Director, AVS Marketing, you will report to the Vice President of Marketing and collaborate on the development of strategies that deliver targeted AVS revenue and share growth while supporting broader corporate objectives. You also will oversee the implementation of all major AVS marketing activities for our growing offering of tax, compliance and electronic payment services. This unique range of services helps employers minimize compliance risk, eliminate penalties, reduce operating expenses, increase efficiencies, lower unemployment expenses, maximize tax credit benefits and ensure disaster preparedness.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 

The successful candidate will:

- This position is a key resource for corporate management and serves as the central point of contact for day-to-day marketing program development and implementation. 
- Must be capable of deploying cutting-edge marketing campaign ideas and approaches, and have a proven track record of success across the full spectrum of tools and disciplines including digital marketing, ads and sponsorships, sales campaigns, client communication, company collateral and presentation materials, events, social media, and thought leadership initiatives.
- Contribute to the direction and development of Intranet content and sales training programs
- Must be experienced in managing third-party resources, including marketing communications agencies and consultants.

Qualifications Required
(Experience, Skills, Academic):

EXPERIENCE: 


- Must be an outstanding personal communicator with the stature and presence to represent ADP.
- World-class marketing professional, as well as a great people motivator and leader.
- Outstanding strategic planning skills, a solid understanding of relationships, and the knowledge, intellect and temperament to work effectively in a fast-paced, energetic environment.
- A high degree of personal initiative, outstanding interpersonal, team, verbal, written communications, process facilitation skills and integrity are absolutes.
- 15 years in a corporate marketing, communications or public relations department and/or agency.
- Must have experience in developing and implementing a strategic marketing and/or marketing communications plan designed to defend and protect a corporate brand.
- Political, campaign, data, financial background and/or financial services industry experience is a plus.
- Proven ability to align marketing and marketing communications plans with business objectives. 
- Experience in serving as a key advisor to senior corporate management, developing marketing programs and supporting communications campaigns and brand promotions.
- Must have demonstrated ability to execute a variety of marketing initiatives, including establishing unique value propositions and market positioning, and creating and communicating the associated substantive and accurate messages for successful delivery to a wide variety of audiences. 
- Outstanding and solid writing skills, including the ability to direct the team's development of speeches, press releases, media statements, talking points, and Powerpoint presentations with compelling graphics, videos and other visuals that help tell the ADP story.
- Experience working with national media outlets is a plus, including the ability to develop meaningful, dependable relationships with journalists that cover ADP
- A thorough understanding of news organizations and journalists and how they work; new media trends
- A track record of building and maintaining relationships with reporters and media representatives with a keen sense of strategic judgment in directing the development of strategic communications plans
- Ability and know how to help the communications team translate corporate messaging into strategic news angles, and successfully write and place press releases and successful pitch products, services and other company news. 
- Significant media relations experience, including serving as a spokesperson (across mediums and including live broadcast); articulate, confident, poised and engaged. 
- Highly evolved analytical skills to ensure clear analysis and sound data based decision-making.
- Strong project management and strategic interactive skills
- Proven track record of tight and successful management of financial obligations and budgets. 
- A team builder who can lead through influence and persuasion across organizational lines, to capture the trust and respect of senior executives and have a strong "media presence" as well as the ability to present his/her views in a compelling manner.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate through large, complex organizations and develop networked relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt and thrive within corporate culture.
- A decisive member of the team who is results-and action-oriented.
- Ability to lead, motivate and inspire others within a fast-paced, high energy and creative environment.
- An understanding of crisis and issues communications experience and its role in the overall marketing program is a must. 
- Strong project management skills required.
- Exceptional organizational, written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal skills and the ability to work under tight deadline, ability to juggle multiple tasks and changing priorities.
- Ability to undertake multiple writing projects at one time.
- Self-motivated and hands-on contributor. 
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook).
