As the Sr. Director Market Insights, you are responsible for developing strategies and programs to outperform competitors in the National Account Services marketplace (employers with 1000+ employees). This position will develop and manage a competitive intelligence function to identify trends, establish new strategies, track programs and analyze all aspects of the large business competitive environment. This includes; financial reports, analyst and industry reports, market and client research and obtaining field (Sales and Service) input.
- Making strategic decisions/recommendations and working with business unit leaders to improve competitive position of ADP solutions. This would include potential improvements/changes to product, pricing, service and sales model. - Tracking and analyzing competitive activities and recommending counter strategies, particularly versus top-tier competitors. Identifying key competitive differences, outlining competitive rebuttal statements, and managing competitive information that is distributed to the sales and service teams. Tracking win/loss data versus key competitors, including internal and external interviews to better understand market decision drivers. - Establishing oneself as a subject matter expert to support sales/service and providing them with information necessary to increase sales and client satisfaction/retention. - Gain detail knowledge of the National Accounts Services space, inclusive of macro/micro economic trends, client needs and specifically human capital management trends. - Generate market data, buyer research, customer insights, sales data and competitive intelligence to identify needs in the market that support the expansion and customization of existing products, the introduction of new products and the implementation of customer segmentation initiatives that drive sales and create new revenue streams. - Prepare regular reports and offer interpretation of competitive and market activity for sales, marketing, operations and executive management. Ensure that market and competitive information remains current and that all constituencies are kept up-to-date.
- Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills required. - Ability to conceptualize, negotiate and sell ideas internally and externally. - Ability to implement concepts, ideas and plans while functioning in a flexible, constantly changing environment. - Must be a strong team player as well as an individual contributor.
