Sr. Contract Specialist - Federal Government
This requirement is to obtain 2 (two) senior-level contract specialists with Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) contracting experience for a proposed contract with the Department of Veterans Affairs in Hines, IL. The term of the assignment is six months plus a six-month option. The contract specialists will provide a full range of services for pre-award, negotiation, award, post-award and close-out phases of the federal contracting/acquisition cycle. General duties may include:
(a) Advising and assisting COTR regarding the technical scope of the Basic Contract; (b) Providing all reporting information required under the Basic Contract accurately, thoroughly and timely; (c) Resolving issues related to Order performance under the Basic Contract; and (d) Attending meetings and conferences, as necessary.
Specific task areas include: 1. Process MAS Offers 2. Process Modifications to MAS Contracts, Including Exercise of Options 3. Option Preparation 4. Work Flow Management 5. Provide Weekly Status Reports
Requirements:
1. Minimum Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting or other directly relevant field. 2. Minimum 10 years? experience in accounting, contract management, or similar. 3. Minimum 3 years? experience in Federal Government contracting position(s) dealing with MAS Schedule contracts, preferably GSA or VA. 4. Demonstrated experience with the full range of contracting phases - pre-award, negotiation, award, post-award and close-out. 5. Training and certification in Federal Government contracting strongly preferred. 6. Sensitivity to and experience with information security and privacy issues.
