Specialist Sales - LipperTitle: Specialist Sales - Lipper Location: Singapore-Singapore-SGP-Singapore-1 Raffles Quay Other Locations: The Sales Specialist is responsible for new business development and direct selling within in the corporate marketplace. Specifically, this position will sell Lipper fund data to a defined territory made up of various accounts.
Primary responsibilities: * Delivers recurring revenue, generates new opportunities, follows and develops opportunities and leads provided by other sources or identified through prospecting/cold calling to drive/accelerate sales closings to achieve gross sales targets through a consultative sales process * Provides domain expertise relative to the customer segment (expert in markets-based product knowledge) * Ensures the effective handover of accounts to the account management team post set up, gathers feedback from the customer, maintains accurate customer contact and opportunity data in Client Relationship Management (CRM) systems, develops innovative approaches to problems facing financial markets, IT and business owners. Plans the approach with the account manager, can become the product champion. * Work closely with internal resources in order to optimize selling to assigned accounts * A high level of client interaction is required to achieve the assigned sales target At Thomson Reuters, we deliver intelligent information quickly and efficiently, so professionals have knowledge to act. * Bachelor's degree required; MBA or industry credentials (CFA) preferred * Deep domain knowledge of products/solutions, markets, industry professionals, trends, and competitors within the Mutual Fund marketplace * 5 years selling desktop or research related products to the Mutual Fund community * Strong business development and prospecting skills in a consultative selling environment * Effective organizational and planning skills * Strong negotiation and problem solving skills * History of sales success in a team selling environment At Thomson Reuters, we believe what we do matters.
