Looking to be part of the Web Services frenzy taking place at Microsoft? The Dynamics Online team has been incubating new Services for the past several years and continues to build new services every day. This team is chartered with extending business processes onto the web to deliver connected scenarios in the areas of online commerce, business social networking, online payments, online marketing (i.e., Search Engine Marketing), and others. The team not only works with industry leading partners (like Facebook, PayPal, eBay, MSN AdCenter, Windows Live, Amazon, Chase Bank, etc.), but it also works very closely with all of the Dynamics product teams so all of their users benefit from the connected scenarios being delivered. We are looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET). You will be responsible for writing and executing test plans and cases, designing and developing test tools, analyzing, debugging, and reporting code bugs, white box and black box testing, and working on an automation infrastructure being built from the ground up. Responsibilities for the candidate will also include participating in product architecture and designs, working closely with the Development and Program Management teams to ensure the feature/product is compliant to design specifications, test results generation/compilation and reporting, interfacing with a number of other product teams across Microsoft, etc. Being part of a new team ensures a dynamic environment and lots of room to grow and impact both the product and the test processes and direction on the team! Specific responsibilities will include writing test specifications; designing, automating, and maintaining test cases; creating automation infrastructure as necessary; driving improvements to our tools and processes; coordinating work with internal and external partners; connecting with customers
Qualifications include software testing experience or education. Candidates should have good design and object oriented programming experience as extensive automation needs to be written in C#, SQL, and XML . Knowledge of C++, Web Services, SOAP and/or other web programming languages would also be recommended. The team is aggressive in keeping up with the latest web technologies like AJAX, Silverlight, etc. The position requires a minimum of 4 years of supporting, developing or testing commercial software product or equivalent, good problem solving skills, the ability to work both independently and collectively in a team environment, and good communication skills. Experience using code profiling and performance analysis tools, developer tools like resource leak tracking tools, and past experience with services is also a definite plus. Education requirements: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience is preferred.
