For further information on HP Software refer to /> In our expanding cross-portfolio Customer Success & Solutions Group we are looking for a Senior Solution Product Manager. As a Solution Product Manager, you are a customer advocate and focus on solving customer problems with software solutions. As a customer advocate, you discover and determine what customers want and translate that understanding into a compelling vision and roadmap and ultimately a solution offering that inspires the customer to select HP as a trusted advisor and technology provider. Solution definition and delivery involves the efforts of all of the teams across the company, including product units, sales and marketing, professional services, and customer support.
This high visibility position is about "making Solutions real" and further enhancing our HP Software IT Performance Suite offering.

Responsibilities:
Collaborate with strategic customers worldwide to develop an understanding of the key use cases across the end-to-end IT value chain.
Understand customer needs and communicate solution requirements to internal teams (e.g. product units) and across the value delivery chain (e.g., sales, pre-sales, professional services) in a clear, systematic and motivating way.
Contribute to the overall strategic plan and direction of HP Software. Suggest strategy changes based on a strong knowledge of trends in the industry, the competitive landscape and critical customer pain points or unmet needs.
Lead projects that involve cross-functional coordination to provide integrated products/services/solutions
Improve processes to increase Solution Product Management effectiveness; e.g., cross product unit requirements management
Be seen by the sales team as an expert in the products/services/solutions and is regularly called on to defend the benefits in front of customers or partners
Education and Experience Required:
College degree in Marketing/Business/Technical
MBA or relevant masters degree preferred
Knowledge and Skills Required:
8+ years enterprise software industry experience in a senior product management role with complex, cross-functional requirements
Strong leadership capabilities
Ability to translate probing conversations with customers into compelling, clear, and actionable use cases, requirements and solution definitions
Proven success in driving organizations to deliver compelling customer centric solutions with clear ROIs
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
Familiarity with enterprise IT management solutions (cloud, virtualization, application transformation, ITSM, ITIL and BSM, etc.) - essential / highly desirable
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, complex environment
Experience working as a Product Manager for an Enterprise-class software product or solution
Evidence of interpersonal skills to compel or inspire others outside your chain of command to provide needed support or resources to achieve product or solution delivery on time, in scope, at quality
