We are looking for a social media and PR leader who is creatively strategic and technically strong. Simply put, we want you to help us make a significant impact through social media, and PR - to create and implement programs that generate awareness of and build engagement with the Deluxe brand. In this exciting new role, you will contribute strategically to the overall Deluxe media relations efforts for both the small business and financial institution markets.
Accountabilities:
- Act as social media subject matter expert for Deluxe. Be in tune with latest technological and behavioral developments. Create opportunities to educate the organization on the proper use of social media. Provide training on social media policy to employees who engage in social media on behalf of Deluxe. Create opportunities to bring the company's social media leaders together to share best practices.
- Be the knowledge expert on effective measurement of the impact of social media. Assure that Deluxe is using the right tools for this purpose. Create and publish monthly report on social media activity.
- Plan and manage the overall editorial calendar for Deluxe social media efforts. Be proactive in creating opportunities to amplify the Deluxe social media presence. Make the calendar visible to Marketing Services to enhance integration efforts.
- Provide day-to-day support of Media Relations function. Could include writing of press releases, review of authored articles, working with PR agency,
- Lead implementation of website. Create content strategy, editorial calendar; keep site fresh and effective.
- Create processes that support effective execution of social media programs. Assure the Deluxe organization is familiar with these processes.
- Collaborate with internal clients as the knowledge expert on social media in the development of campaigns in support of specific Deluxe products and services.
- Edit and proofread a variety of copy across platforms. Write copy for search engine optimization to drive site traffic. Manage editorial content for Deluxe Small Biz Blog.
Required:
- 7-10 years of progressive Marketing/PR experience
- Strong social media expertise and proven experience planning and executing social media programs/campaigns
- Strong knowledge of the media relations processes
- Experience with an assortment of social media tactics including blogging, content creation, promotions and social media events
- Experience working closely on a communications team
- Exceptional writing skills in English
- Exceptional verbal communication, polished presentation skills (in person and online)
- Clear demonstration of strong brand marketing; marketing communications; public relations and social media experience
- Organized, authoritative and proactive personal characteristics with clear demonstration of execution
- BA/BS in Marketing, or other relevant field
