The selected candidate will: . Work closely with marketing and technical staff to assist the office in winning consulting service, design, CM/PM and design-build engagements from federal, state and local, and private clients . Actively engage in our proposal process to coordinate and prepare proposals, SOQs, and other submittals with responsibilities across all business lines and disciplines as needed to meet the goals of the URS Pacific NW offices. This individual will manage major, complex proposals from start to finish and work with other offices in the West combining the best resources to win a job. . Coach technical staff; prepare presentations for interviews; prepare marketing materials; prepare award submissions; plan and attend meetings; and identify new marketing opportunities . Have a general understanding of transportation, transit, aviation, water resources, wastewater treatment, solid waste, hazardous waste, environmental services, environmental planning, CM/PM and other similar services provided by the Pacific NW offices. Also needs a general understanding of traditional design-bid-build process, as well as design-build and public-private partnerships. . Interface routinely with business line leaders, senior management, and proposal and business development staff to provide marketing coordination and administrative leadership . Plan and support business line meetings by researching and providing marketing leads; following up on go-no go decisions; tracking and submitting various agency and client reporting requirements; providing proposal, marketing, and business development training in line with office initiatives; and using industry-wide best practices in completing all marketing tasks . Interact daily with multi-disciplinary and multi-office teams within URS to complete marketing proposals and projects, as well as assist with the preparation of shortlist presentations to clients. - Work with technical staff to set win themes and strategies - Manage the proposal process to ensure high quality design and reader friendliness - Ensure that proposals meet the requirements of the RFP and that proposal elements are relevant to the requirements of the RFP
