We're looking for someone who is passionate about online media, can be an evangelist for our users and has strong product management experience. The Senior Product Manager at MSN SEA has primarily the following responsibilities:
Region-wide Product Management: You will be responsible for working with the Portal Managers and other stakeholders to identify the most desirable features to rollout for our audience within the MSN Media Network across Southeast Asia. You will project manage and co-ordinate teams such as developers, portal managers, and designers to roll out product features for our markets. You will need to prioritise product feature rollout across product and market. Strategic Partnership Management: The Senior Product Manager will lead relationship management with major strategic partners. This will entail keeping regular communication with partners, providing necessary reports and analysis, rolling out new features and integration within partner sites and maximizing the revenue potential with our partner sites.
As Senior Product Manager you will be responsible for leading the management and roll out of key products and product features across the MSN Southeast Asia network. Your key objective in rolling out channels and product features is in the attainment of the following; - Increase audience engagement - Maximize profitability - Meet other organizational KPIs
The MSN SEA Media Network is a collection of highly visited online content channels which serves millions of users daily across the region. Your audience will visit and be engaged with not only their local MSN homepage but also channels focused on Entertainment, Lifestyle, News, Sport & Video to name just some.
Responsibility across the channels would include; - Ensure a world-class user experience which offers timely, relevant and compelling content for its target audience - Test and QA new features and versions of the products providing feedback based on what a user thinks and values - Liase with US and regionally-based teams to represent and evangelise the needs of the local SEA audience & business - Impact and influence partner editorial, development and product teams to get their support for these new channels and features
Required Qualifications & Qualities: Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication, Journalism or IT; Strong experience in product management is preferred; At least 5 to 7 years experience in the New Media industry, preferably across a range of sites/channels; Passion for the Web, digital content, and customers; Drive for results; Strong communications skills; Strong analytical and numerical skills; Self-directed with excellent organizational skills; Knowledge of and interest in local, regional and global online media & service consumption; Interest and passion in technology's ability to empower people Ability to manage multiple projects across cross-functional teams; Ability to set and maintain deadlines; Must possess excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint. Understanding of Web development technologies (eg. HTML, XML, AJAX, JavaScript) is an advantage.
