Senior Manager - Public Relations. Communications
POSITION PROFILE
Develop and implement a comprehensive, integrated external communications strategy, focused on enhancing brand awareness and supporting the image and reputation of the company among a variety of audiences, including the media, industry analysts, customers, prospects, employees, suppliers and the general public. This will include developing and managing a public relations and analyst relations strategy, as well as overseeing advertising and social media messaging.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for development and execution of comprehensive PR strategy that aligns closely with the Company’s strategic direction.
Identify, plan, and implement public relations opportunities that support the company’s strategic objectives, strengthen the company’s brand image, and reinforce the Company’s position as a leader in the industry.
Provide communications counsel to senior management, helping to enhance the company's success by applying proactive and reactive communications strategy, including crisis communications.
Represents the Company to the press and public by acting as chief corporate spokesperson.
Fields and directs responses to all media-related inquiries.
Manages the relationship and budget with the PR firm and industry analyst firm, and directs the strategy and implementation.
Manages all media relations activities in conjunction with corporate events.
Works on executive communications planning for external speaking opportunities and media interviews.
Oversight of PR and analyst relations agencies and internal communications staff who execute press outreach, media events, media calls, press material development, as well as advertising coordination and social media messaging.
Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience and Certifications)
Requires 4-year college degree (Journalism, Communications, English) preferred
Requires minimum of 10 years of related work experience
Requires minimum of 5 years of management experience
Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills
