Job Description
The Senior Manager of Global Health Economics is responsible for working with the Sr. Director to develop global health economics strategies and studies/analysis to support Baxter intravenous (IV) nutritional products. She/he will ensure market access hurdles are minimized through communication of therapeutic IV nutrition patient outcomes and economic benefits for patients, clinicians, and payers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Identify and support the execution of projects that directly support the economic/reimbursement strategy for marketed products
•Design and implement research and analysis that support reimbursement strategies along with regulatory submissions
•Compare and evaluate the economic value of products/therapies vs. the competition with data from clinical trials and/or epidemiologic studies
•Work with customers to uncover their needs and to develop economic tools and models
•Assist Sr. Director developing health economic and reimbursement strategies and programs that align with overall product strategies
•Ensure health economic deliverables that provide direct value to the marketing and reimbursement of IV nutritional products through effective communication with global customers
•Lead development of product value dossiers and other projects that support pricing, reimbursement and formulary submissions
•Communicate health economic and outcomes research findings internally and externally
•Represent Baxter Healthcare Corporation in an ethical and professional manner
Job Requirements
Requirements:
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
•Ability to understand and work with cross-functional teams
•Highly motivated self-starter who is able to work independently, deal with complex issues and relate to multiple internal and external stakeholders
•Working knowledge of global reimbursement processes for pharmaceutical therapies
•Working knowledge of customer/payer tool development and value dossiers
•Experience in the development of pharmacoeconomics or healthcare economics studies
•Excellent project management skills
•Publication and presentation track record
•Education and experience:
•Ph.D. preferred; Minimum Master's degree in health economics or other social sciences, pharmacy, epidemiology, public health, healthcare marketing, or related degrees.
•Minimum 5-7 years in health economics/outcomes research with 3 years pharmaceutical or related industry.
