More information about Thomson Reuters and its financial performance can be found on < Role of the sales Specialist is to sell Reuters products or solutions to financial markets, IT, business owners and end-users; selling set of products/solutions to a pre-defined market segment. Cross-channel function, building on expert knowledge to target client base, recognise client needs and propose solution. Have own sales targets. Pro-active in developing opportunities.
Delivers recurring and outright revenue, generates new opportunities, follows and develops opportunities and leads provided by other sources.
Provides domain expertise relative to the customer segment (expert in markets-based product knowledge).
Ensures the effective handover of accounts to the account management team post set up.
Gathers feedback from the customer, maintains accurate customer contact and opportunity data in CRM.
Develops innovative approaches to problems facing financial markets, IT and business owners.
Plans the approach with the account manager, can become the product champion.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Ideally, the successful candidates will demonstrate the following skills:
Several years experience as a Sales person in the financial markets.
A good general knowledge of the financial markets.
A good general knowledge of client workflow and activities.
Knowledge & understanding of Reuters products and services.
Strong questioning and analysis abilities.
Fluent Japanese communication is required. Good command of English business communication is an additional advantage.
The successful candidate will also be required to:
Understand the importance of customer service.
Be highly self-motivated and show initiative.
Work under pressure and tight timescales.
Have a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
Be able to operate successfully with minimum supervision.
Other required skills:
Should have good knowledge of Electronic Trading for FX in the Financial markets. Experience in selling large solutions with long lead times Established 'C' level contacts in the financial markets ( Treasury and IT)
