Job Description
The Renal Specialist is fully accountable for achieving Patient growth targets, territory sales and gross profit targets for the Peritoneal Dialysis and Hemodialysis portfolios in the Atlantic Provinces. The incumbent must develop strategies for the assigned territory and is responsible to coordinate their implementation. Amongst the primary tasks, the incumbent is also responsible:
•To establish and maintain effective business relationships with hospital key contacts, in particular with nephrologists in the implementation of the therapy campaign
•To promote sell and support Baxter PD and HD products, services and programs
•To prepare cost analysis, develop proposals, negotiate agreements and contracts To work in close collaboration with the account managers and clinical consultants. Considering the complexity and the activity level of the current environment, the incumbent must achieve both customer and Baxter goals through account management and consultative selling.
Job Requirements
•Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Heath Sciences and/or Administration
•Bilingualism an asset
•3-5 years minimum sales experience, preferably in a hospital environment
•Excellent analytical skills in relation to budget and cost studies
•Strong interpersonal skills geared towards effective negotiation, presentation and communication
•Clinical knowledge re: end-stage renal disease and dialysis (an asset)
•Good time and priority management and project
