We are a division of Metroland Media Group, Ontario s largest and most successful community newspaper publisher (Metroland is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Torstar Corporation). This position is based out of our Hamilton office. Position Accountabilities: . Prospecting for new business in airtime media sales and production opportunities . Maximize sales revenue based on growing client list in breadth and volume with strategy-based solutions for clients and exceptional customer service . Achieve & surpass specific monthly sales targets for ShopTV Canada . Actively participate in weekly sales meetings . Establish, maintain, and strengthen relationships with agency personnel and clients . Maintain knowledge base of the broadcast industry and trends within DRTV . Liaise with Producers/ Editors/ Writers when required on production proposals Competencies/Skills and Experience: . University/ College Degree and/or 5 years television and/or radio/ print sales experience (Broadcast and/or Direct Response Television sales experience is an asset, but not required) . Strong desire to prospect for new business . Strong opener & closer . Agency experience an asset . Familiarity with online sales/ marketing .
