QC Duplication Tech-Freelance
This technician will be responsible for the duplication of multiple HD/SD video tape formats.
Additional responsibilities will the encode/transcode/decode of various file formats.
The Duplication Technician applicant must have experience working in a professional video duplication environment or in a similar position within the professional audio/video industry.
HD/SD video and DVD duplication, HD/SD video cross/up/down conversions, file conversions and encoding
Prioritize work based on factors such as show airdates, edit requests and due dates, as per the Administrator of Post Production
Communicate with the Production Services Administrator, QC Administrators, MAS and Captioning about specific program status as required
Proficient with reading waveform monitors/vector and audio scopes
Turn dubs and completed programs in to the Administrator of Post Production or MAS once completed.
Attend QC department meetings and follow all procedures as assigned
Min. 2 years college B.A. Degree in Communications preferred.
Working knowledge of HD and SD broadcast video and file formats, waveform monitors and vectorscopes.
Must be extremely organized and computer proficient.
3-4 years of Duplication experience in broadcast or similar high pressure environment.
Highly organized, team player, problem solver and ability to work individually with minimal supervision.
Preferred candidates will have 2-4 years in post production environment.
Knowledge of post production and various processes.
