Publicity Coordinator
A leader in the field of illustrated books seeks a full-time, salaried publicity coordinator.
Primary charge as the publicity coordinator will be to create strategic, individualized publicity campaigns for all titles, approximately 35 a year, promoting our focused titles in markets where we already have traction and ensuring that these titles receive even broader exposure.
You will develop creative strategies to gain exposure for our new eBook program.
You will maintain and expand our extensive media list by cultivating relationships with contacts.
You will coordinate and attend events, including book release parties, book fairs, art openings, and readings.
The ideal candidate can demonstrate an understanding and appreciation for our unique list as well as the international visual cultures that shape our books.
Such a candidate will also be comfortable in the independent, gumption-driven office environment.
One to three years of PR experience in the publishing industry
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Experience with social media and knowledge of new trends
Independently motivated, extremely organized, creative, and energetic
