Description: Responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating all PR and marketing efforts that support the Manhattan Public Library's goals and services. Work with all departments in implementation of public relations activities that further external communications efforts. Develop and implement publicity materials to encourage the use of library services and activities. Evaluate the effectiveness of publicity efforts and make recommendations. Primary responsibilities include the production and coordination of print materials, web content and social media. Communicate and maintain positive relations with library customers, supporters and partners.
Must have excellent communication, planning and organizational skills as well as experience with design software for print and electronic media, including web design and social media. Bachelor's degree in public relations, design or related field with experience in a public relations role required.
