Are you a passionate, world-class marketer that enjoys making an impact? Looking for your next career move? The ideal candidate will offer a fresh and innovative perspective to marketing strategies that will help drive the SQL Azure business. I need a strong marketer who is comfortable in a new space and willing to work through the growth pains of the business. We'll be working very closely with marketers and sales in the field as well as cross group with marketers in Redmond. We will have joint execution with the Windows Azure team as well as the SQL Server Enterprise business.
Experience/Qualifications: Some of the things you will be responsible for include marketing strategy, key messages, value prop, field contact and communications, GTM coordination for launches, field launch coordination, spokesperson for SQL Azure technology (internal & external), prioritizing customer segments to pursue, pricing and goal setting strategies for field, pipeline management, agency management for marketing campaigns, management reporting on sales & pipeline.
Prior Microsoft field experience - working in a sub preferred. Looking for someone who has worked with field on a revenue product, helping from the Redmond side to provide sales enablement, technical and customer readiness. If you have launched products previously at Microsoft with field and market success, we'd like to talk to you.
Following are the key competencies and experience of an ideal candidate: Great communicator and leader - across customers, dispersed field teams, executives, engineers and partners Self-starter - capability to build team, chart product strategies and manage business on own Analytically & strategically focused - ability to drive analysis and draw strategic conclusions for investment and business Quick decision maker - ability to decide under tight timing and pressure Proven track record - at least 6-8 years' experience in digital advertising, advertising, sales, product management and/or marketing. The ideal candidate should have experience with digital advertising marketing. BA/BS required; MBA preferred.
