TITLE: Product Marketing Manager, Security Solutions
Our marketers define innovative IT solutions for businesses, lead cross-functional teams to deliver them to market and empower sales and channel partners to win. The Security Solutions PMM is the focal point for all outbound product marketing activities. This role evangelizes solutions to global end users, channel partners and sales teams, uncovers new market opportunities, and drives product promotion and launch spending. With Sales as your customer and Product Management at your back, the Product Marketing Manager evangelizes existing ideas and uncovers new opportunities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Evangelize our products and solutions to analysts, the press, regional PR firms, regional sales teams and field marketing teams.
- Oversee product launches, promotions, overall field and channel communications and long-term market strategies for the security product line. Products supported include VPN/firewall appliances as well as UTM and inline security appliances and software.
- Manage product launch schedules and budgets, guide and contribute to regional field marketing campaigns.
- Define positioning and messaging for security solutions targeting small and midsized (5-500 users) customers.
- Content creation from start to finish, either self produced or from an outside source. Content communicates who we are, our value proposition and our solution offerings.
- Create marketing campaigns and assets, supporting regional Field Marketing teams with ideas, insights, guidance and content.
- Initiate business development with technology partners to drive leads and channel sales. Pass technical relationships to product management when required.
- Uncover insights into opportunities in regions, cultures, vertical or specialized markets and with technology partners. Discover and report on market dynamics.

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS:
- Success is measured by content delivery, global product revenue, launch execution and sales funnel statistics.
- Deliverables include web pages, customer/channel partner presentations, customer visits, press releases, industry event speaking engagements and webinars. Content also includes sales and lead generation collateral for end users and channel partners such as white papers, solution guides, email blasts, case studies, cheat sheets and product brochures.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Superb communication abilities in written and verbal English.
- A background in security products (like firewalls, UTM appliances, VPN clients).
- An understanding of the business problems facing SMB (5-500 user) end users and channel partners.
- Strong knowledge of and experience with the two-tiered technology distribution channel.
- A thorough understanding of messaging and positioning, and ability to communicate consistently to both end users and channel audiences in all geographies.
- Travel up to 25% of the time.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4-year degree or equivalent
- International experience
- 5-7 years minimum in Product Marketing with outbound experience
