Summary:
The industry is converging, and we have differentiate ourselves from the competition by bringing together software, hardware, and high tech products in a way that nobody else is doing in the market place today. The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for creating and owning the roadmap for segments of the Aspen Avionics product line using market research, competitive analysis, pricing, customer engagement and business planning. As a strategic partner, this “visionary” will be able to identify future trends and turnkey insights and concepts into cutting edge products.
Essential Functions:
Indentify areas for growth and create strategic product plans to help drive adoption of product along with differentiating and innovative features
Identify and bring together the industry's best partners and technology creating strong strategic alliances
Develop new product features and functionality in partnership with engineering
Provide customer use-case examples to engineering acting as the primary bridge between customer feedback and R&D
In partnership with other functions, develop material for product launches including collateral and sales training materials; also set up and conduct sales training on how to sell specific products by creating effective tools for sales that focus on positioning the value proposition for our solutions and promote our products.
Develop a strategy to migrate existing customers from legacy products/solutions or old releases to the new product/solutions or new releases.
Distinguish market opportunities that existing or future products might fulfill
Ability to collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Customer Support, Sales, Dealers and Customers to achieve goals
Track and analyze customer feedback and registration to identify trends and opportunities and develop strong knowledge of our customer demographics
Skills and Experience:
Must have at least 7 years experience in product management and marketing, promoting high technology products
Must have a meaningful, successful track record of product marketing which includes understanding market opportunities, the investment required, and the technology partners needed to successfully put a product proposal together
Must have strong project management and coordination skills; and ability to excel in a fluid, cross-functional team environment
Must have experience in advanced communication and cloud products and applications experience
Must have proven experience in building strong business Alliances
Results driven self-starter who works well under pressure and delivers results in resource and time constrained environments
Strong analytical, financial and strategic thinking skills required
Articulate communicator in person and in writing (showing samples of personally produced collateral is important)
Must be an eloquent and strong presenter with the ability to work with executive management and customers
Experience developing sales training materials
Experience with effective use of on-line and social networks for marketing purposes
Some travel is required
Ability to hit the ground running and come up to speed quickly!
Avionics product marketing experience preferred but not required
Current pilot license desired
We are seeking a pure product marketer, as opposed to a generalist marketer.
Education:
BS/BA degree required (technical degree or MBA preferred)
