Microsoft is in a unique position to fundamentally transform the $8 billion Business Intelligence market from a set of niche and specialized IT technologies to a broadly adopted set of end-user focused business productivity solutions. We are looking for a strong leader who is passionate about driving Microsoft and the BI industry through this change.
This is a core product management role for Microsoft's Cloud BI technologies and requires a strong passion for the BI market, ability to take new technologies to market, cross group collaboration and capacity to align our long term BI vision with Microsoft's Cloud priorities. Specifically this position will own the value proposition, positioning, messaging, evangelism and field enablement for Microsoft's Cloud BI technologies.
As one of the core product managers for Microsoft BI, you will have the opportunity to make a difference in influencing strategic direction for the business. This high-profile role will involve interaction with executive leadership across the Server and Tools and Information Worker organizations, as well as participating, informing and influencing near and long term strategic plans.
Specific Responsibilities include: Defining and validating the value proposition for Microsoft's Cloud BI offers Defining how we go to market through BPOS and SQL Azure Working with technical product management to influence our roadmap Naming and branding of our cloud BI technologies and offers Positioning & messaging for the target audiences and segments of our offers Influencing our monetization strategy for BI the cloud Development of core sales and marketing collateral Field readiness and evangelism
This role will have shared accountability for the success of the Microsoft BI business. Successful candidates will be able to quickly define and drive awareness, readiness and adoption of Microsoft's cloud BI technologies with customers, field and partners.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in product management, a strong understanding of the business intelligence market and the competitive dynamics. Experience in taking new and innovative products and technologies to market, and the proven ability to land and launch new technologies with sellers and marketers in our subsidiaries.
