Senior Product Manager - Windows Azure Platform (Sales Excellence)
The Developer and Platform Evangelism (DPE) organization is looking for an experienced marketer who will help us shape and define the future of cloud computing and define our leadership in Platform-As-A-Service through the Windows Azure Platform and our ISV channel.
The DPE team is looking for an experienced product manager to drive sales excellence and lead our core customer evidence strategy to build Microsoft's cloud credibility through the ISV channel. This role is critical to the success of our business in order to establish a strong presence as a cloud services provider. By driving the strategy and execution behind all customer and partner evidence for the Windows Azure Platform, you will be a key contributor to proving Microsoft's success.
In this role, you would be responsible for: Understanding and sharing sales insights from Azure sales teams to influence product team planning Driving ongoing rhythm of the business reporting with deep understanding of wins and losses Defining and delivering the readiness plan for our Azure sales team Driving our Windows Azure Platform evidence planning and program Acting as the voice of the field and ISV partner to champion their feedback into the Azure planning cycles Managing the process of collecting and communicating partner and customer experiences with Azure to ensure key marketing messages Drive appropriate coverage evidence for industry and customer segments Identify, contact, and collaborate with customers and partners to develop interesting and persuasive case studies and testimonials Managing multiple external vendors and internal stakeholders across partner, product and customer audience groups
The ideal candidate will have: Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills Enthusiasm for leading a worldwide marketing community with strong conviction and follow through Deep cross-group collaboration and thought leadership Minimum of 3-5 years of outbound marketing or product management experience, preferably in the high tech industry BA/BS required, MBA or equivalent experience preferred
This individual will need to demonstrate success in developing growth strategies and transforming them into execution. This position also involves a large amount of interaction with customers, partners, and our senior leadership and requires the ability to communicate your analysis and recommendations concisely.
