Description Our client is a world leader in fire safety. This position will be responsible for new product development, customer and sales service support and training as it relates to new product launches and existing product enhancements. Manager will also provide assistance and guidance to the engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, distribution and other departments. You will work with all interested parties to come up with recommendations for new products and upgrades to existing products already being provided to the government and military. You will participate in the RFP process, act as the marketing representative and will provide support to the sales force once a product is released. You will also assist in the development of marketing materials, do related product reporting, keep management informed of progress or issues, and continuously look for the next opportunity. Cost reductions and delivering products on time, as specified and within budget are a must.
Requirements Must have a Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in marketing or business as well as 2 years related sales, marketing, technical service, engineering experience . Experience with Life Cycle Management Systems as a customer or product manager a definite plus. Also must have experience in marketing concepts and concept execution for a technical product and must be able to develop marketing plans across various functional areas located in various locations across the US and the world. Must have excellent interpersonal skills in order to work with internal engineering, sales, support teams as well as interface with customers. Must have detailed understanding of Military and Civil Defense and what their needs are. Must have understanding of Defense Acquisition or similar TLCM Management Systems and working with and in the Federal Budget process. Must be able to work within a team with limited supervision, have basic computer skills. This role will require significant travel overseas.
