Product Data Management Engineer 4\5
Oversees and leads the development, analysis, management, and compliance verification of airplane loadable software business processes. Strategically leads the definition and application of new methods and technologies for the management of loadable software parts throughout the supply chain. Leads the analysis of complex process trades and the development of change proposals. Leads the implementation of configuration and data management standards, processes, systems, and tools. Leads and directs the definition and allocation of configuration management and data management requirements throughout the airborne loadable software product lifecycle. Assures the integration of product elements; analyzes and resolves complex issues with engineering product structure. Proactively coordinates process development activities with other BCA organizations. Defines and negotiates internal interfaces within process flows. Guides less experienced staff and serves as a technical leader for loadable software engineering and production processes. Candidate serves as a subject matter expert for the loadable software problem domain, including system-specific issues, processes, and regulations. Works under minimal direction.

Typical Education/Experience
Level 4 - Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Level 5 - Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's 14 or more years' experience, Master's with 12 or more years' experience or PhD with 9 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Other Job related information
Strong technical writing, verbal communication, and leadership skills are required. Familiarity with software engineering development and/or general engineering release processes is required. Knowledge of 787 and/or DCAC product data management processes and tools preferred. Project management experience is desirable.
