Private Banker - Market Executive
The Market Executive is the senior management representative of the company in New York, charged with providing leadership for the Relationship Office and the market. Primary responsibilities for this position includes achieving all revenue and expense targets for their profit center, recruiting and developing the staff for their office, and ensuring proper risk management for their operations. This position also serves as the formal coach and mentor for the Private Banking staff within their office.
The Market Executive is the organizations’ senior representative in the market and is expected to play an active role in the community. This position works closely with the support services and other resources located at the Company’s headquarters. In addition, collaboration with senior management and their peer group on business opportunities that cross market lines will be essential. There are six other Market Executives within the company and all of these managers report directly to the EVP of Private Banking.
The ideal candidate will currently be based in the New York area and have the following skills and qualifications:
At least 8 or years of financial services experience
Strong management skills and experience leading high performing teams
Marketing and sales expertise
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the capacity to direct, lead and motivate all personnel within the Manhattan Relationship Office
A high level of interpersonal skills to handle internal and external situations
Formal credit, investment, and training preferred
Knowledge of trust and financial consulting concepts
Knowledge of the banking industry and credit products
Working knowledge of local and state regulations as it applies to deposits, lending, and wealth management
