Mobile Product Manager
We're looking for a product manager to help conceive and execute upon mobile initiatives for a top travel/tourism client who wants to do more with their smartphones. As Mobile Product Manager, you will be responsible for the start to finish championing and delivery of mobile apps, site, and experiences.
You will work with the technical team to ensure the requirements are implemented efficiently and appropriately and partner with business development to develop and look after product >roadmaps and features based on customer stories. This person will identify new product requirements, define business justification, and assist with the development of product releases. This role is inherently cross-functional-you will work closely with engineering, design, operations, finance and executive teams to bring products to market and develop and grow business opportunities for our client.
Key Responsibilities Develop industry-leading customer experiences in the mobile space, consistent with our client’s reputation as a leader in customer innovation Develop, incubate and execute on new mobile app and mobile web opportunities Manage product development using agile methodology, serving as product owner and customer advocate in working with cross functional team, including project management, design & UX, engineering and test Translating the customer experience into a logically sequenced and optimized product Writing complete and detail-oriented product requirements documents and ensuring clear communication of those requirements to the business, design, usability and development teams Manage prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, site performance and operational support load Proactively identifying and resolving issues that may impair the team's ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals Operate with a high degree of independence in a fast-moving environment where there is often little historical data or precedence Report on key metrics; build tracking and measuring into offerings
Qualifications A bachelor's degree required; preferably in computer science or engineering 3+ years program or product management experience in a technological 3+ industry 2+ years launched start to finish consumer-facing online/mobile products/service 2+ years total experience in software/wireless/Internet technologies 2+ years managing vendors
Extensive experience defining projects, driving requirements, writing detailed functional specifications, and coordinating teams Experience working on agile enabled teams Ability to learn new technologies and quickly adapt to change as this is a constant in the competitive and fast-growing global mobile Market ;Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is desired.
High attention to detail including precise and effective customer communications and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
Ability to think strategically and execute methodically. Composed, poised and professional demeanor.
History of teamwork, street smarts, and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done.
Proven analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop project business cases. Excellent customer experience intuition; demonstrated success in creating innovative and user-friendly, customer-facing features. Excellent communication and persuasion skills; demonstrated success building buy-in for an innovative and bold vision Technical fluency; comfort understanding and discussing architectural concepts, schedule tradeoffs and new opportunities with technical team members
