We are looking for a highly creative, entrepreneurial marketing professional and with an understanding of the luxury consumer market.
As the Manager of Marketing and Communications, you will create and execute marketing strategies that will build the Ann Sacks brand.
You will create and execute strategies for advertising, collateral, tradeshows, our showrooms and the company website. You will be the public relations spokesperson at tradeshows, special events, new store openings and product launches. You will manage agency relationships, photo shoots, and have full P&L responsibility for the marketing and advertising budget.
Here is a detailed overview of what we want from you:
Manage the marketing planning process:
. Develop annual marketing plans that support key product strategies and brand objectives.
. Execute annual plans, ensuring proper allocation of resources and prioritization of initiatives.
. Develop and maintain actionable data on current and target customers.
Develop and manage communications assets:
. Ensure effectiveness of photographic assets and other communications content.
Manage advertising:
. Oversee the planning and execution of annual media plans.
. Manage creative agency relationships.
Manage development and distribution of literature and collateral:
. Manage the design and print production of all literature and collateral materials.
. Ensure all collateral communicates substantive content in support of product strategies and brand objectives.
Develop and execute on-line marketing plans:
. Manage all website updates and enhancements.
. Ensure best-in-class experience with the website, maximizing user satisfaction.
. Oversee development and distribution of e-mail newsletter.
. Develop and execute strategy, including use of social media to maximize on-line support of specific product and brand objectives.
Plan and execute trade shows:
. Lead the planning process for trade shows, ensuring execution supports product and brand strategies.
Develop and execute Public Relations plans in partnership with the Kohler Company communications team.
Manage the annual advertising and marketing budgets.
Oversee planning and execution of local advertising plans for the Ann Sacks showroom:
. Develop, execute and measure annual marketing plans for new and existing showroom locations.
. Ensure showroom events conform to corporate brand standards
. Manage the production of interior and exterior signage for showrooms.
. Develop and manage the creative and media advertising selections for local newspapers and magazines.
. Develop thematic direct mail materials and in-store promotional events.
Support new product introductions:
. Coordinate with merchandising to support all product launches with tear sheets and other collateral conforming to brand standards
. Ensure new products are introduced on the Ann Sacks website concurrently with showroom introductions
Internal Communications:
. Create a quarterly marketing/advertising update for the entire organization.
Supervisory Relationships:
Reports to the President of Ann Sacks
Dotted line report to the Chief Creative Officer of the Kohler Interiors division
Direct Reports:
Marketing Coordinator
Communication Specialist-Web Developer

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or Journalism is required. In-house and Agency marketing experience is required along with a minimum of five plus years of experience as a Marketing or Communications Manager. Marketing experience in a retail and wholesale channel is strongly preferred. An MBA is preferred. This position requires 15% travel, including international.
