Medical Device Product Manager

  • Responsible for the achievement of the annual sales and profit goals of the product line. 
  • Coordinate new product introductions from product initiation to launch, evaluate changes, additions and deletions to the product portfolio to meet market requirements.
  • Work directly with Director of Marketing to develop annual marketing business plans to support product growth and tactical execution into multiple market segments.
  • Manage assigned A&P to stay within budgeted guidelines.
  • Report on a monthly basis, the status of events for the given product lines to the Director of Marketing
  • Responsible for supporting the day-to-day requirements of the Sales & Marketing organization by providing the following:
    • Price quotations for special pricing contracts
    • Product features & benefits including indications and proper applications
    • Handling of product questions and complaints
    • Competitive information
    • Conduct field visits with sales personnel
    • Recommendations on sales tactics and execution
    • Preparing yearly/quarterly product forecasts
    • Awareness of clinical requirements for the product line
    • Executing marketing strategies and concepts
    • Development of sales support materials
    • Product training on specific product line
  • Implement product pricing and distribution strategies
  • Work closely with Sales organization to clearly delineate plans and programs and communicate same to the appropriate sales groups and customer base providing product support, education, and information that augments the sale of products.
  • Work closely with the customer service organization to identify product issues and develop initiatives to address customer complaints
  • Attend sales meetings, symposiums, and medical conventions as necessary
  • Maintain consistent contact with Global Marketing, Manufacturing, Finance, Regulatory, Research & Development and related functions to coordinate the smooth flow of projects through the pipeline in a timely manner.

Requirements For Product Manager:

  • Bachelor degree required (Marketing, Business, Management or similar); advanced degree preferred.
  • 3 - 5 years of Medical Marketing experience
  • A demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment, as well as coordinate amongst different departments.
  • Excellent problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong PC skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical device marketplace.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership qualities.
