Medical Device Marketing Manager
A high-growth medical device company is expanding its marketing department and has a need for a marketing professional for their Neurology Division. We are a profitable, well established medical technology organization that has been recognized as one of Fortune Magazine’s 100 Best Companies for employment, and our annual attrition rate is below 7%. Ours is a dynamic, exciting work environment and our teams have unusually strong personal chemistry, and revenue for the product line has grown more than 15% for the past four years. A full product pipeline has led to the need to expand our organization in select areas and we are looking for a Marketing Manager. Responsibilities:
The Marketing Manager will have the opportunity to work in a very underdeveloped segment of the neuroscience market. These are breakthrough technologies that have a huge quality of life impact on its users, so in addition to creating share-shift strategies you will also work to expand this fairly immature market. This is a global marketing assignment where your success will depend on competitive monitoring and strategy.
In addition to strategic planning there is a tactical element to the role and you will work closely with Key Opinion Leaders to develop them as advocates for a new approach to therapy. The goal for many physicians segments is to switch them from antiquated drug therapy with multiple side effects to consider patients as candidates for new device therapy. You will have to identify barriers to adoption and develop plans to overcome them, implanting them in the field with sales reps and KOL’s. This is classic downstream market development that will include developing launch plans for new products and new indications. You will also have to work effectively in a matrix organizational structure with cross functional team members from Sales, Clinical, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and other departments. Some minor overnight travel is required (10-15%).
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have:
· 5+ years of experience in the Sales and Marketing experience in Medical Technology industry (Device, Equipment, Pharmaceutical, or Diagnostics)
· Experience in Segmentation and KOL “face time”.
· Experience working collaboratively with cross functional teams in a matrixed organization structure
· Sales experience or marketing experience that includes close work with a highly trained sales team in the Medical Technology industry
· Bachelors degree or better; MBA preferred

SALARY: $115,000 - $135,000
BONUS: 15%
