Job Description

Baxter employs approximately 46,500 people worldwide and we are currently seeking MBA-level talent to join our marketing team. Specifically, we are actively recruiting to fill openings in our Marketing Development Internship Program .
Baxter's Marketing Development Program is offering MDP intern positions for those who are in their 1 st year of their MBA Program. Throughout the 12 week summer internship program incumbents will have opportunities to demonstrate leadership a project or take ownership of or contribute to high levels of work that will contribute to some of the leading brands in the healthcare market that deliver critical therapies globally. These projects may include: conducting and analyzing market research to assess feasibility of a new product, service or business; developing programs that drive product utilization and brand awareness; creating pre and post-launch promotional materials, sales training, and pricing strategy; directing advertising/brand agencies on the creative development for various tactical marketing programs; developing business models involving multiple assumptions, quantifying results, and assessing alternatives to develop recommendations for new product entry; developing and testing of product positioning, sales messages and sales tools for a Baxter product on a national or global scale; interfacing with cross-functional teams that include Sales, R&D, Finance, Quality, Manufacturing; attending external meetings and industry conferences to develop knowledge of the business.
Job Requirements
Successful candidates will have demonstrated the following:
•Actively in a MBA program
•3 to 5 years of marketing or related business experience
•Exhibited leadership through campus activities and work experience
•Foundational skills in the core marketing competencies: strategic planning, competitive intelligence, new product development, communication, messaging and branding, market research, decision analytics, customer advocacy development, and pricing and reimbursement.
•Candidates must possess the permanent legal right to work in the U.S. Candidates are also screened against Baxter's key characteristics of successful marketing professionals. These key characteristics include : Leadership/Drive/Initiative, Business Acumen / Ability to apply knowledge, Critical Thinking and Problem Solving ability, Intellectual Curiosity, Customer Focus/Relationship Building, Dealing with Ambiguity /Flexibility
