Web Development Project Manager Position Seattle, WA

Our client believes that lifelong learning requires an institution dedicated solely to the education of working adults. It's in their company's DNA to help people change their lives through education. They are currently looking for a Sr. Project Manager to manage Web Development projects.

You will need to have proven experience creating project plans and driving them from inception through to deployment. Experience working with different levels of processes will be essential as well as experience working in a fast paced environment with moving target dates.

You will be working with internal corporate groups in multiple locations and, in addition, with some external vendors. Prior experience running Agile projects in a marketing firm or agency is a definite plus.

• You will serve as single point of contact for the project
• Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Work with geographically dispersed teams
• Effectively manage change and risk, partnering with the team to ensure the right decisions are made at the right time, appropriate communication occurs, and plans are intelligently adjusted to reflect necessary fluctuations in goals and requirements as business needs change
• Collaborate with internal teams and external groups
• Communicate progress to the team and key stakeholders
• Proactive, collaborative work style and can-do attitude
• Generally requires an understanding of business and information systems as normally obtained through the completion of a degree in business, information technology or a related field.
• 7+ years of project management experience on progressively responsible, technical and complex projects required.
• Experience with responsibility for comprehensive and complex projects preferred.
• Has thorough knowledge and understanding of commonly used project management concepts, practices, and procedures to enable incumbent to manage highly complex projects utilizing agile/SCRUM methodologies.
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external team members and customers.
• Must be familiar with defining project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member, to effectively drive highly complex and comprehensive projects.
• Must possess the ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Experience working with: SharePoint, Agile/SCRUM, and Web Tools such as CCS, XML, AJAX, and JavaScript.
