Job Description Park View Federal Savings Bank, a locally managed savings bank in its 90th year, is focused on providing its customers Better service from a better bank'. Full time Marketing Specialist position available at our corporate office located in Solon. Requires the desire and ability to create an excellent banking experience for prospective and current customers through the marketing activities of the Bank. Responsibilities and Duties include: § Assisting with all aspects of the Bank's direct marketing campaigns/programs including direct mail, list management, marketing communications development, data base mining, mail merges and results tracking. § Implementing mailings according to schedule to promote products and services to existing and prospective customers. § Assisting with media scheduling and ad placement. Maintains media space and rate information. § Processing requests for community support such as small ads, door prizes and contributions. § Maintaining budgets, advertising records, schedules, tear sheets, and invoice files. Assists with the monitoring and tracking of marketing campaigns, advertising and marketing expenses. § Assisting with the selection, production/ordering of promotional materials. § Maintaining the inventory and distribution of marketing materials and promotional items. Fulfills requests for items and keeps records of their use. § Working with Information Systems area to manage PVFSB Website content. § Assisting in writing, editing and proofreading advertising and promotional copy and literature, descriptive materials and training procedures for the staff for content, accuracy, clarity, grammar, spelling and reading ease, i.e. ad copy, product and sales literature, web text, advertorial, press releases, etc. Assists in the review of marketing materials for accuracy of content as well as correct and easy-to-understand terminology. § Handling the physical flow of paperwork within the department, including copying, filing, handling and dispersing incoming and outgoing mail, updating records and compiling reports. § Composing and directing written communication to various people, both outside and within the financial institution. Minimum Requirements: § Associates degree in marketing or related field (Bachelor's degree preferred). § One or more years of marketing, advertising, communications or public relations experience, or in banking or a related field. § PC proficiency in MS Office products, Internet research, and other applicable software. Working knowledge of desktop publishing or other presentation software (i.e. Microsoft Publisher, PowerPoint; Adobe PageMaker, Photoshop, Acrobat). § Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of internal/external customers. Demonstrated ability to write, edit, and proofread making grammatical and spelling corrections. § Innovation and flexibility necessary to meet the demands of an ever-changing market. Strong organizational skills with orientation to detail and accuracy and ability to manage multiple assignments. § May be required to travel to branch locations.
