DEPARTMENT: Sales and Marketing/SERRV GENERAL PURPOSE: To manage the organizations web site and email campaigns as sales tools, as well as to reach out to potential store customers. This position also assists in creation of promotional pieces where necessary. Especially, to be committed to working with SERRV International, Inc. staff to ensure the fulfillment of the organizational mission. CATEGORY: Permanent PAY STATUS: Salaried, with benefits HOURS: Full time with some weekend or evening promotional events and speaking engagements. SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Works under the direction of the Sales and Marketing Director. ACCESS TO COMPANY CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION: Customer account information and sales data. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Act as primary liaison with web hosting vendor and contract work as approved by Sales and Marketing Director. This includes managing a fall 2010/ spring 2011 shift to a new ecommerce platform. * Update web site information, including new product uploads. Monitor web site copy and maintain up-to-date information. * Develop and execute email campaigns for various customer channels. * Monitor, track and report on web site traffic, email campaigns and any online advertising. * Take primary responsibility for accelerating growth in web site sales to consumers and retail stores. * Provide recommendations for online advertising targeting consumers and stores. * Assist with outreach to potential store customers including list research, contact, mailings, advertising, and follow up. * Provide copywriting support for promotional pieces, including, but not limited to newsletters, catalogs, tear sheets, advertisements and order materials. * Customer contact via phone and in person. * Represent SERRV at various events including conferences and some public speaking. * Work closely with the marketing staff on a daily basis as part of the team that plans and executes all marketing activities for SERRV. * Interact regularly with Customer Service to ensure effective communications. * Other duties as assigned by Sales and Marketing Director and/or President/CEO. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS: These along with other performance data will be used to measure and evaluate the performance of the Web and Public Relations Coordinator: * Strong web site presence and online sales * Regular reports on performance of online tools * Ability to contact potential retail store customers and give a positive introduction to SERRV * Clear, consistent communication with other staff * Creation of written materials in a professional and creative manner that successfully represents SERRVs programs to customers and the general public. * Production of written pieces in a timely fashion that require minimal editing * Represent SERRV to customers and prospects with clarity and enthusiasm. * Interact with customers and the general public in a positive and professional manner. DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience * College degree or Associate degree * Previous sales and marketing experience a plus Work Experience * Computer skills in web site maintenance and basic design, and familiarity with database software * Production of marketing materials or promotional events.
